Ann Marie was inspired by the ease of creating organic designs using Anarkik3DDesign to explore a variety of forms and shapes. She also expanded the forms in this neckpiece into a brooch.
The inspiration for Necklace ‘Red Red’ came via her Covid lockdown project which was initially about exploring 3D printing on fabric as she hade direct access to a desktop 3D printer. This project expanded into incorporating and embedding other materials and stuff during the 3D printing process. Having access to a 3D printer meant that she could play and experiment. She loves O-rings for their potential, particularly as links as they are flexible and robust. These are left over from an earlier project and ideal for joining the units into a necklace during the 3D printing process. Just love the red and black combination.
The brooch happened because she loves the main unit in the necklace, simple as that.
